The Clan Trust welcomes applicants for the Neech Fund

The Neech Loan Fund, has been taken over by the Clan Trust and renamed the Neech Fund, where its Trustees will offer grants to eligible candidates within land-based industries across the county.

The Neech Loan Fund was started in 1947 by Dr Neech, offering business loans of up to £500 to farmers in the North Walsham area. Over the years, the maximum allowable loan increased to £5k which would be granted to candidates over a 5-year period. Other requirements were adapted so that applicants from North Walsham and the surrounding area could apply for loans to support a wide range of enterprises.

Due to rising costs of admin and governance, the Trustees of the Neech Loan Fund have decided to close and transfer the funds to the Clan Trust. Trustees of the Clan Trust have agreed to take over the Neech Loan Fund charity as a segregated fund for grants available to eligible candidates.

If you are a new entrant to the agricultural industry or a contractor looking to invest in your business, we would like to hear from you. We welcome applicants in land-based industries across the county to make grants for items such as equipment and business improvements. All applications will be considered on a proven need and viability basis.

Please note: The Neech Fund is now a segregated fund for grants ONLY, not business loans.

To make an application, please contact the Clan Trust or apply via the form on the website: 01603 629871 | office@clantrust.org
